Welcome to my video series, "Every Rock Has A Story". Each episode conveys the story of a rock, hosted by me, Boston College professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Ethan Baxter. The videos are intended for children grades K-5 but they are fun and appropriate for all, including older kids, adults, parents, and teachers. Feel free to "Like" and "Subscribe" if you wish. I hope you enjoy! This is one of the original 44 episodes filmed in my home in summer 2020. Check out the Teachers and Parents Guide ( • Every Rock Has A Story - Teachers & Parent... ) to help navigate these original 44. Many of the rocks and stories presented in these videos would not have been possible without the ongoing support of the National Science Foundation that has funded field excursions around the world and the science of extracting these stories. The mineral featured in this video was collected from a mine in Vermont where we were studying carbonate as well.
