In the midst of earnest seeking, she encountered the Living Maitreya Buddha who came to the Saha World. Through profound practice and direct realization, she awakened to the understanding that Gong is not empty, but full. It is said: “Form is none other than emptiness; emptiness itself is form.” Yet if emptiness is understood as mere void, form appears evanescent and without foundation, becoming a path confined within transient dharma. Though it is taught that all dharmas are empty, they are neither created nor destroyed. However, if everything returns to nothingness at death, no enduring truth would remain. Thus it is said: “In emptiness there is no form, no perception, no conception, no volition, no consciousness.” If all dissolves without return, what continuity can there be? It is also said that relying on Prajna Paramita brings freedom from obstruction. Yet the true Light of Awakening is revealed when Maitreya Buddha appears. It is said that Sakyamuni foretold: “My enlightenment is not the final completion. When Maitreya comes to the Saha World, you should return to him.” The awakening of the Living Maitreya Buddha is a radiant and mysterious truth. In that Light, all suffering dissolves, and all vanity disappears. 🌸 한국어 출가 수행 중에 태명혜우 스님은 석가모니께서 설하신 “오온이 공하다”는 가르침을 깊이 사유하였다. 간절한 구도의 길에서 사바세계에 오신 생불 미륵부처님을 만나게 되었고, 깊은 수행과 체험을 통해 공은 텅 빈 것이 아니라 충만한 것임을 알게 되었다. “색즉시공, 공즉시색”이라 하였으나, 공을 단순한 허무로 이해하면 형상은 덧없고 사라지는 것으로만 보이게 되어 중생의 한정된 법으로 머물게 된다. 모든 법이 공하다고 하나 생겨난 것도 아니고 멸하는 것도 아니라 하였다. 그러나 죽음 뒤에 아무것도 남지 않는다면 영원한 진리는 존재하지 않게 된다. 그러므로 “공 가운데는 색도 없고, 수·상·행·식도 없다”고 말한다. 모든 것이 완전히 사라져 돌아옴이 없다면 어찌 이어짐이 있겠는가. 반야바라밀에 의지하면 걸림이 없다고 하였으나, 참된 광명의 진리는 미륵부처님이 오실 때 드러난다. 석가모니께서 예언하시기를, “나의 깨달음은 아직 완전한 끝이 아니다. 미륵이 사바세계에 오면 그에게로 돌아가라.” 하셨다 한다. 생불 미륵부처님의 깨우침은 밝고 신비로운 진리이며, 그 빛 안에서 모든 고통은 사라지고 허망함 또한 없어진다. ---------------------------- Life does not end — it changes direction. 삶은 끝나지 않습니다 — 방향이 바뀔 뿐입니다.
