The decor: a cozy boudoir upholstered in gray, where chilled champagne flows freely. The protagonists: three men, rather dandies, and a rather hysterical bride, Miss Betty, who maintain mysterious relationships. Their confrontations metamorphose into high-level acrobatics, in chic and glamorous attire, sprinkled with a dose of humor and eccentricity. A beautiful and brilliant show, by four young artists from the great circus schools of Montreal and Brussels. We are quickly carried away by the captivating atmosphere created by an elegant decor and a particularly neat score. In addition to the musical themes composed by Alexandra Streliski, The Elephant in the Room gives pride of place to jazz works by Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday and George Gershwin. Every sound and music has been meticulously chosen to match the movement near each tableau, making the numbers incredibly fluid. The Elephant in the Room is more than just a circus show. A real story is created through our four characters in this intimate setting that evolves over the numbers. The lifts follow each other with a rare elegance and are not alike. It is breathtaking that we observe the acrobats who act without a net as if by magic. One could almost believe that the laws of gravity are defied for an hour, where the bodies fly away and tangle like leaves on an autumn breeze.
