The Global Silesia programme implemented from February 2020 to December 2023 by the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Upper Silesian Fund enables entrepreneurs to participate free of charge in the most important business events in the country and the world. Around 40 trips to fairs and foreign missions were organised. The United Arab Emirates, USA, India, Brazil - these are just some of the places where entrepreneurs from the SME sector had the opportunity to promote their products and services. Approx. 150 companies from the region, at no cost, took part in key international business events. The task is carried out as part of the project 'Economic promotion of the region and activities related to the creation of friendly conditions for investing and exporting', co-financed by the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship 2014-2020 (European Regional Development Fund), priority axis: III. Competitiveness of SMEs, Measure: 3.5 Internationalisation of the region's economy, Sub-measure: 3.5.1 Economic promotion of the region.
