Riviera Beach snorkel and shore dive at Riviera Beach, Florida. A Zulu Blu guide for snorkeling, free diving, and scuba diving at this location. For more information, visit https://www.zulublu.com/. The Riviera Beach Nearshore Reef Project consists of 5 acres of nearshore reef habitat, with limestone boulder reef pods in 6-12 feet of water. The reef pods are easily accessible to snorkelers and divers of all skill levels. Marine life filmed at this location include Atlantic spadefish, Spanish hogfish, mangrove snapper, palometa, nurse shark, French angelfish, parrotfish, trunkfish, glassy sweeper, Beaugregory, surgeon fish, bar jack, yellow jack, French grunt, bluehead wrasse, and sergeant majors. Video filmed using GoPro Hero cameras and DJI Mavic Air 2s drone. You can access the beach at Riviera Beach Municipal Park. The water visibility at this location varies greatly depending on the marine weather: calm seas offshore will increase visibility; rough seas offshore will decrease visibility. Plan your dive accordingly. (If seas are rough and visibility is low at Riviera Beach, we recommend nearby Phil Foster Park and Peanut Island, which are both located in the lagoon and protected from rough seas.) Be aware that there are two rows of reef pods, with the first being in shallow water, and the second being in deeper water at the orange buoys. When diving from November through April, a wetsuit is recommended. Always dive with a dive flag and a dive buddy.
