Driving in Canada: Trans-Canada Highway 1 from Canmore, AB to Banff, AB

In this video you can ride along on the Trans-Canada Highway 1 from Canmore to Banff in the province of Alberta, Canada. The Trans-Canada highway is more than 7.800 kilometers long and stretches across the world's 2nd largest country horizontally. Parts of it are built out as a 2 x 2 highway, many parts through more rural our mountainous areas are 1 x 1 with the occasional overtaking lane. Driving West on the Trans-Canada Higway from Calgary, we enter Rocky Mountain territory and pass some of the more famous mountain resorts in Canada. Canmore is pretty much the first one coming from Calgary, with Banff perhaps being the more well-known one. You can see that on the way there is a pay station for the National Park pass for Banff. Although I have been to Banff before, I can't remember much about this and was a bit confused. In the end we purchased it at the visitor center in town center of Banff. We end the drive at Bow River Falls just outside town. It's a pretty place to enjoy the views, although in winter it's a bit tricky to hike there.
