Taipei Apartment Tour - Our $700 Studio l Golden Astrolabe

We invite you into our beloved apartment in Taipei. We fell in love with this apartment the moment we saw it on a Facebook post, then only one second into the visit and we were sold. Located in Ximen, a young and dynamic neighbourhood, we had everything we needed around us. The studio came with 2 double beds and a sofa bed, which were way too many beds for the two of us but we're not complaining. A dry bathroom, small kitchen, washing machine (much needed in Taiwan, particularly during summer), a dish dryer, a massive TV, and an AC. The rent was 18,000NTD (~645 USD) per month, 1,000 NTD (35 USD) of building charges and we had to pay our own electricity bill (water bill and cable fees were included). We left Taiwan to come back to France in July 2020, leaving friends, a covid-free country, cheap bubble-teas everyday, this apartment, ... All of this was heartbreaking. It will remain our home in Taipei, where we created so many memories, hosted many dinners with friends around the coffee table, played cards until too late...
