It’s a place where the sounds of the wider Forest feel distant, replaced by birdsong, rustling leaves, and the steady rhythm of walking. Like many inclosures in the New Forest, this area reflects the Forest’s long history of woodland management, where forestry and traditional commoning have shaped the landscape over generations.
