Incredible Westinghouse Elevators at Union Station Hotel, St. Louis

This was one of my favorite explorations in quite a while. While showing Jeff around downtown St Louis, I recalled a time when my parents stayed at the Union Station hotel many years ago. And that the hotel had some pretty cool elevators. That turned out to be an understatement. The building features 2 Westy hydros retrofitted into crazy spots - 1 crammed in a pie-shaped space in the middle of a historic staircase, and another in what appears to be an original birdcage elevator shaft. Plus there's a few others around the complex with their own fun quirks. And the building itself is so cool. Although the attached shopping mall is closed for redevelopment, the hotel really turned out to be the main attraction here.
