Another custom network cabling job that explores some options. Review more here to - http://www.bridgecable.com/network-ca... Here is an example of custom placement of a data rack in an actual closet. At times you have to work with limited space or even where the DEMARC or power is. Older buildings tend to have rough walls and at times we use Wire Molds or called raceways. Here’s another Bridge Cable project that we are happy to share to our subscribers. We’ve been posting videos of our work to give you a glimpse of how we get things done. You can consider this a portfolio but you can also say this is your simple guide to Network Cabling Installation, in another perspective. One of our goals apart from being the best Network Cabling Service Company, is to help the small guys, those who are new to the industry. So if you’re one of them, continue watching and don’t forget to subscribe for more informative Network Cabling Videos! Anyway, as I mentioned, this is another Network Cabling job we did in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. This is a custom 9u Network Cabling and Data Rack installation in a small insurance office. We’re dropping 12 wires and replacing some of their analog stuff, basically just refreshing their whole system. We can definitely say, it’s been a while since they had an upgrade. We dropped new phones wiring and replace their old units. One proof that they haven’t had any upgrade in a while is the vintage phone unit they have that we’d love to have (side note). One of the challenges we encountered in this installation is that the space is actually an older house turned into an office. We found a lot of wood hidden in the walls. It was hard to get through and run cables inside the walls but of course Bridge Cable will always find a way. We have to play around with it quite a bit and lucky to see they did have some wiring. So what Bridge Cable team did is chipped out the old installation and ran the wirings through the beam down. We’re going to go through the raceway in case we can’t chop out the wall. That’s just basically the worst part. I’ve also been mentioning in my previous posts that we, at Bridge Cable always take the initiative to clean out the old mess. We are going to help them get rid of and avoid the messy wiring just hanging from the ceiling. So we’re dropping it down and put it through the wall as part of their system upgrade. The most exciting part of the installation is the closet. In this video, it has not been completed yet. Basically, this is the “before” site of the Main Distribution Room. The reason why we’ve chosen the closet is because we just brought power in and this is where Verizon is bringing in their service and although they’re losing some space, this is the best spot for power. Note: As a service technician, you have to choose locations that is fit for the clients. Not everyone has space for an IT room. Here’s the plot twist, at 2:37, we are showing you the completed closet installation. We are showing you a small 9u rack all done crisp and neat! The only thing unique about this installation is that we didn’t have to go through the ceiling, we just put a little cubby hole at the back of the rack so it protects all the cable. And rest assured that this is a network cabling installation that will last for years! It is built like a rock and we will never leave it unprotected. Another unique thing about this site installation is the wire mold. This is what we came into since we had a beam of wood inside the walls and we couldn’t get down through it. So we resolve to putting some mold and still looking very decent, like what we always do! And that’s it for today’s video! Hope you learned a lot and we will be more than happy to offer you same or even better service (as we always have to do better).
