The stewardMRV initiative is transforming the way our community takes care of the Mad River Valley's outdoor recreation access points. Usage at many of the Mad River Valley’s trailheads and swimming access points have been on the upswing for many years. The partners of stewardMRV are responding to the needs of local public and private sites and landowners, while proactively engaging in protecting these recreation areas years into the future. Proper stewardship is essential in maintaining the resiliency of recreation and the health of the environment in the Mad River Valley (MRV). Scenic beauty, a healthy, natural world, and world-class outdoor recreation are all at the heart of why people visit and live here. How we care for the MRV is critical for our vibrant future. Thanks to all the organizations involved in the stewardMRV initiative; The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Mad River, the Mad River Path, the Mad River Riders, Trout Unlimited, the Conservation Commissions for the Towns of Waitsfield, Warren and Fayston and to our team of volunteer site stewards.
