Join us in Lachrymose Bay - the tide is in, so we adventure around the cliffs while it turns. We return to the Bay to collect Mermaids tears from the shore before transforming them into beautiful one of a kind earrings for our ETSY shop. We run through the process from finds to jewellery! LINKS: Jump-ring opener https://amzn.to/33K7teA We've come back to lachrymose bay at high tide - the bay is nowhere to be seen, so we venture onto the cliffs for a walk and to show you around the amazing landscape here in Burntisland! The views are spectacular, as we venture down onto the uncovered rocks... There are a few finds here, though not so many - its amazing how different things are only a few meters along the cost. Up on the hill we can see all the way to the iconic three Bridges that span the Firth of Forth.We can see across to Mermaid's Tears Bay - the tide is on the way out, so we get along to see what treasures we can find... Watching as the water draws back from the sands little by little, we get hunting for mermaids tears sea glass! It is not disappointing - we find many really beautiful pieces and Nicole is sure we will get one or two pairs of earrings from our finds! We get back along to the house where Nicole goes through the painstaking process of pairing the glass - a process that takes a good eye, a lot of care and more time than anything! Once Nicole has paired the pieces, she goes on to turn them into beautiful unique pieces of jewellery for our ETSY shop. Craig takes a wee look at the story of mermaids tears to round things off! Since March 2020 we have restricted our travel to distances that allow us to get to our location, film our content, and return home, without ever visiting local amenities, entering any buildings etc. This gives us a reasonable window to work in while also maintaining that we are not out for very long. We only film once a week, and we always do that mid-week. If we arrive in an area and people are present, we leave without getting out of the car. Our policies are simple and entirely concerned with maintaining social distancing so that we can be safe and so that we can ensure the safety of others. We will continue to follow these policies fully, and we will cease outdoor filming altogether should government guidance change. #mudlarking #Scottish #relaxation
