This was right as he was exiting the band. Bones Hillman, who had the longest tenure with the band, and died in 2020, is the one in any live performance that you'll see. Gifford left the band before the album (Diesel and Dust) was even released. Since Bones was with the band the since the album's release, I'll take his positioning and playing as true.
