The Late Dr John Lowe's Presentation for Thyroid UK's 2011 Conference

Dr John C Lowe sadly passed away on the 9th January 2012 at the age of 65. He died from complications following a head injury that he sustained in November of 2011. He was trained in chiropractic medicine but moved on to study hormones, metabolism, the immune system, fibromyalgia and thyroid disease. He was Board Certified by the American Academy of Pain Management and was Director of Research of The Fibromyalgia Research Foundation. He was author "The Metabolic Treatment of Fibromyalgia" and "Your Guide to Metabolic Health." He was a brilliant researcher and a strong advocate for thyroid patients. Dr Lowe was asked to speak at the Thyroid UK 2011 conference. Because he could not attend, he kindly made a film of his presentation. This film is the last film that he made and is a lasting tribute to his tireless work for thyroid patients. The sound quality of the film is not perfect but it is certainly worth watching. Dr Lowe was an inspiration to me and working with him and his wife, Tammy was a wonderful experience. I have many lovely memories of him and I will continue to work for thyroid patients in honour of his work. A very dedicated and much loved man, he is sorely missed by Thyroid UK and thyroid patients around the world. Dr Lowe's presentation for Thyroid UK's 10th anniversary conference is a little over half an hour long, and consists of three parts: • Introduction (under 3 minutes) • Paralysis in the field of Fibromyalgia as a Thyroid Disorder (approx 18 minutes) •Progress in the field of Fibromyalgia as a Thyroid Disorder (approx 12 minutes)
