Inisheer (Inis Oirr) is one of the most played Irish airs. The tune has such a timeless quality that it's not surprising that most people presume it's an ancient Irish air, but it was written in the 1970's by Thomas Walsh. You can find more information about this great song here: https://irishtunecomposers.weebly.com... This live recording is made in Ionad Siul Guesthouse at Glencolmcille, County Donegal, Ireland, in June 2019. The wild sceneries of this video are from Glencolmcille area, too. This video was recorded during the Irish harp course by the amazing Janet Harbison. The harp I play is "Camac Janet" in maple kindly lend for this purpose by Mrs Harbison. I want to thank Janet for the great course and for all the support. You can find more information about Janet's harp courses here: https://www.janetharbisonharp.com/res... "Camac Janet" is an excellent nylon-string lever harp for Irish music - here you can find more information about it: https://www.camac-harps.com/en/harps-... Very special thanks to Lily Neill for all help and patience and Hitomi Akutsu森のハープ弾き for inspiration of this arrangement. Thank you Ionad Siul Guesthouse for a relaxing week: http://www.ionadsiul.ie/ This "one-shoot" video was recorded by Tascam DR-40 recorder and a Sony RX100 camera. You can find a flute+harp version of this lovely waltz here: • Inisheer by Thomas Walsh - Markus Asunta, ... Thomas Walsh found that the island of Insiheer had something special which he had never experienced before. Glencolmcille in County Donegal gave me a very similar feeling.
