It took over 10,000 LEGO bricks to build this model, with all the bricks weighing over 34 pounds. It would cost over $1000 dollars for you to build your own one of these. This is the ship the Japanese surrendered on during WWII. The ship is armed with a main battery of nine, sixteen inch guns arranged in three triple turrets. The ship also had a secondary armament of twenty, five inch guns. But at the end of its life it had only twelve, five inch guns arranged in six twin turrets. This is a model of the ship in its final state. I wasn't going to try and make it a WWII version with all those anti aircraft guns scattered across it.
