Cummins ISB Valve Cover Gasket Replacement In today’s video, I’ll show you how to replace the valve cover gasket on a Cummins ISB engine. Watch as I walk you through the tools you’ll need, tips for getting the job done efficiently, and ways to avoid common mistakes. Symptoms of a failed gasket: 1. Oil Leaks: One of the most obvious signs is oil leaking from the top of the engine. You may notice oil pooling around the valve cover or dripping down the engine block. 2. Burning Oil Smell: When oil leaks onto hot engine parts, it creates a burning oil smell. This can be noticeable both inside and outside the vehicle. 3. Low Engine Oil Level: If the gasket has been leaking for a while, you may notice the oil level dropping faster than usual. Helpful Tips*** • Be careful when removing the cover the gasket can be a little stuck to the cover, too much force can damage injector wires. • It’s best to replace your crank case ventilator filter. Usually a bad crank case filter can cause high pressures, blowing out seals and gaskets.  • also be mindful the engine is open so any dirt debris can get into the engine in cause damages.
