Derek Baum strikes again. Original video: • Kitchen Gun - In stores now! 🔫😂 - BBC Kitchen Gun is a classic video, one I'm sure you've all seen. And it's one that's been parodied many times. However I've actually seen one done in first person, so I decided to test myself and give it a go. I was less focused on making a cohesive viewmodel on this one, and more focused on trying to match Derek's energy, focusing on hand work and extravagant camera work. Might not be as smooth as usual, and I skimped out on the music/SFX, but it was fun to push myself and learn from. This is also the first video I used compositing on, trying to get the look of an old yellowed British kitchen filmed through a grimy camera, as well as the night vision. It was also the first time using the Shakify addon. Lastly, I wanna give a big thanks to @ZeHatsu for taking me aside and helping me polish it up. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this and I'm very grateful to receive feedback from them. @linolafettatnet for their excellent NVG tutorial and introduction to compositing. • How to create night vision goggles - Quick... And also @Ma_rv for their MW2019 rig. It was not only a treat to animate with for this video, but it was also extremely useful to reverse engineer and learn from in order to make my own similar rigs. Made in Blender 4.3 and rendered in Cycles at 60 FPS, 4K with a sample rate of 250 and a noise threshold of 0.1. Otherwise take care. The next one will be more traditional, but hopefully equally as whacky. But until then, take care and clean your microwave filters. Seriously.
