In Episode 20, Taco and I roll out of Alness after some essential trike repairs and take on the long, steady ride across the Easter Ross peninsula toward Tain. It’s not the most dramatic day on the UK coastline, but it’s a real one — long miles, quiet roads, and spectacular coastal viewpoints along the way. Our first stop is the famous Mermaid of the North at Balintore, perched on a rock looking out to sea. From there, we continue around the peninsula toward Portmahomack, where we grab lunch and rest the legs after pushing on from one of Scotland’s most striking landmarks: Tarbat Ness Lighthouse. After a calm afternoon of coastal riding, we finish the day arriving in Tain, ready to keep pushing north.
