Mungo National Park & Darling River Run Part 2 HD 720p

Mungo National Park is a UNESCO Heritage-listed Park and the site where the oldest human remains were found in the 1970's. The 'Mungo Man' and Mungo Lady are historically significant as they were the oldest human remains, estimated to be 40,000 years old, outside of Africa. The lake was once a 200 sq km surface but has been dry for thousands of years. Humans, megafauna, and other animal and plant fossils have been discovered on its shores. The landscape is fascinating and the pastoral history is interesting. In 1979 NSW Parks acquired and managed the land to preserve its archeological, indigenous, and pastoral history.
