Hi! This is a video I made about our week long trip to tunisia in october 2021. Organizer of the tour is "Kini Adventure Tours (https://www.kini.at/adventure-tours/)", bookable through the website of KTM Adventure Tours (https://www.ridektm.com/). We started our trip a day early, due to the available flights, so the first 3,5 minutes don't have any riding in it. Our first day of actual riding was from Djerba to Douz, from where the next couple of day trips started (and ended). The second day started with an accident, which sent a member of the organizers' team on a plane back home to the hospital. Resulting from this, our guide was (probably) mentally distracted, and made an error on the following ride, knocking him out, too. We continued riding for a short period of time with Tobias Ebster, helping him write a section of the road book for the upcoming Tunisia Oasis Rally. The third day was a trip to the dry lake "Chott el Djerid", where we managed to find wet spots which turned into deep mud. Irritated by the new circumstances, the guide forgets to fuel up, also takes the same route back through the "not wet" dry lake to the hotel, which let us to ride deep into the darkness with feeble enduro headlights (which was NOT a fun experience at all!). On the fourth day we had the GPS Challenge, which we failed spectacularly - I can imagine, that the rules for the trip will be rewritten, thanks to us. Because Andy injured his wrist (on the first day when he went over the bars), we tried to avoid any big sand dunes, which sent us farther and farther away from the intended route. All we did was build on the saying of the guide that the detour to avoid the sand dunes could be "extensive". In the end we were called by the guide, who told us to head east (judging by the sun) until we hit a road to get back to the hotel, which we did. At least we got our day's worth of riding! On the fifth day, we had a liasion stage to get from Douz to Ksar Ghilane, a oasis in the desert. This tour included the best sand dunes of the whole trip, unfortunately, my GF managed to crash a couple hundred meters before the "good sand" began - which gives us enough reason to repeat the trip soon! On the last day of riding, we headed back from Ksar Ghilane to Djerba, where the bikes were packed up back into the organizers van, ready to be transported back to austria. This day included all of the terrain encountered, compacted into one day's ride, including a bit of "supermoto". I think with knobby tires and week old mousses, you can call it that way :) We had another day extra until our flight back home, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I hope you'll like the video, even if you don't, I'd appreciate any feedback for future videos!
