Frequent yellowish discharge, burning sensation and whitish discoloration of the skin or the prepuce indirectly indicates it is balanitis or preputial skin infection. Yellowish discharge means ther is infection inside the urethra leading to pus discharge which is yellowish in colour. It is called as balanoposthitis when it is completely heals by contracture. So these patients has to be treated for the infection first and if the skin is tight then circumcision has to be done and a lot of hygiene has to be maintained, this usually occurs in older age group of people. So control of infection, hygiene and plenty of fluids will avoid you from these circumstances and when, balanitis, is there, we have to think if the patient is diabetic. An immunocompromsed patient should also be thought about.
