Digitally remastered from a 2007 recording, this video documents the specialized freight operations on the 760mm gauge Zillertalbahn in Austria. This footage was originally released in low resolution in 2008 and is now presented here in a high-quality remaster to better show the mechanical details of the operation. The film captures the intricate process of unloading standard gauge (1435mm) wagons from narrow-gauge rollwagons (transporter wagons) at Jenbach. Unlike many systems that use a transfer pit, Jenbach utilizes a tiered layout where the standard gauge rails sit on a slightly higher level than the narrow gauge. At this time, the traffic was primarily dedicated to transporting timber to and from the Binderholz sawmills at Fügen. This intensive daily shunting procedure was phased out during 2013, eventually concluding in December of that year. The opening sequence provides the unique perspective of Jenbach station, showing a metre-gauge Achenseebahn cog train climbing past the engine sheds toward Seespitz. The camera then pans across the ÖBB standard gauge mainline to the Zillertalbahn freight terminal, where the shunting team maneuvers standard gauge timber wagons across the ramps and onto the 760mm gauge transporters. This footage was filmed in August 2007 at Jenbach, Tyrol, Austria, featuring the 1435mm (Standard), 1000mm (Achenseebahn), and 760mm (Zillertalbahn) gauges.
