I decided to do some pond fishing with my buddy, Phil. We got a dozen of large shiners and casted them out to get some catfish. Unfortunately, the catfish bite was dead. I then decided to jig the shiner along the bottom and got an instant hookup with a bass. We spent the next hour free-lining live shiners and caught 10-12 bass. All bass were pretty small but still fun to catch. If you haven't tried free-lining shiners, give it a try. It works!
