The Lego Power Functions system allows builders to implement motors, lights, and action into their creations. With Lego Power Functions it's possible to bring your creations to life and even make them remote controllable with Lego's IR remote control system. Another 3rd party brick mentioned in this video is an SBrick which actually replaces the IR system with a Bluetooth smart phone interface. This concept is very cool, but unfortunately not working the best currently due to the apps being under developed.
