Mergers and acquisitions - it's not always about the money; it's about the business. Jonathan Otis, Nimdzi's Business Strategy and Growth Consultant, tells us more about M&A in the localization space and what companies are really looking for when it comes to this step in their maturity: Hi, I'm Jonathan. I work M&A here at Nimdzi. The market landscape for acquisitions and mergers has been very strong for many, many years. And it continues. I see technology being probably the number one reason people are acquiring companies. I see companies buying others for customers, for revenue, for vertical speciality. When I see people buying companies for the people, always important to get really good people. Most people think they know everything there is to know about mergers and acquisition. The one thing I tell most people is you really need to have somebody working with you. Have a professional working with you. If you're selling your company, you really should have a broker working for you. It's their job to get you the most value. It's their job to make sure the whole markets knowing that you're available. It's their job to actually find value inside your organization you might not realize you have, it's their job to match you up with people, both people that are natural partners, and people that are not natural partners. And I think we do that better than most because we have such a strong set of experience inside the industry. We have knowledge about all the different players. We have people from outside the industry who work for Nimdzi who are bringing in different perspectives. And we just have a view of making the right connection, just not a quick connection. It's not always about the money. It's really about the business. And I think Nimdzi's important goal just to make sure your business is growing, that you're getting the most for it and that we're helping you do that.
