Smoking an Export A Full Cigarette (Review) from Canada, which used to be called the Greens, and are also known as the "Green Death," due to their supposed overwhelming roughness and strength. Export A, technically speaking simply called Export, with the "A" being a specific product line in the brand, is a Canadian tobacco brand that was first introduced in 1928 by the Macdonald Tobacco Company, and from what I can tell, grew to some popularity soon after its release. Over the years it seems that the popularity of the brand continued to grow, helped by the fact that Export cigarettes were supplied to troops during World War 2, and also sponsored a couple different sporting events within Canada as well. Today, the brand is owned and produced by JTI-Macdonald Corp, the Canadian Subsidiary of Japan Tobacco, and is quite the notable nameplate, both inside Canada and in the United States, but are of course most popular and notable in their home market.
