Coming to Nu Metro Friday 25th July, 2025: https://numet.ro/luckyfish With heavy competition from much larger companies and his own bad management of finances, Sanjay Pillay’s tinned fish company is circling the drain. After being inspired by all the publicity that the local Miss Chatsworth beauty pageant is getting, Sanjay decides to rope his sister, Samantha, into helping him organize and sponsor his very own beauty contest, Miss Pillay Pilchards, to give his company a PR boost to increase sales. On insistence from Samantha, the pageant becomes an all-inclusive competition. Entries range from the aged to the heavily pregnant, and none of the contestants embody the beauty queen that Sanjay has in mind to be the face of his company for the next year. But with all the local media praising his progressive competition, Sanjay has no choice but to go ahead with the pageant. It’s inner beauty vs outer beauty as Miss Pillay Pilchards incurs the wrath of the Miss Chatworth owner, Arusha Budhoo, who does her best to sabotage Sanjay and his ragtag group of contestants. Finally, the Queen of all Fish is crowned, and Sanjay comes to learn that (in his own words) beauty isn’t only fin deep.
