The measurement problem in quantum mechanics was solved in 1957. The answer has been sitting in the equations for nearly seventy years. And the reason you have never been told is not that the evidence is weak. It is that the answer is so disturbing that an entire scientific discipline chose to look away. In this documentary, we trace the deepest contradiction in physics from its origins in the 1920s to the present day. The Schrodinger equation says one thing. The collapse postulate says the opposite. Both cannot be true. And in 1957, a Princeton graduate student named Hugh Everett III removed the contradiction by removing the collapse. What remained was the most unsettling conclusion in the history of science. We begin with von Neumann's formulation of the measurement problem and the arbitrary boundary between quantum and classical that nobody could define. We follow the Bohr-Einstein debates, the suppression of David Bohm's pilot wave theory, and the professional culture that made quantum foundations career poison for decades. We reconstruct John Bell's devastating critique in his final paper, written two months before his death, demanding to know why physics still could not define its most basic operation. Then we tell the story of Hugh Everett III. His letter to Einstein at age twelve. His sherry-fueled insight at Princeton. The 137-page thesis his advisor forced him to gut. His failed trip to Copenhagen where Bohr refused to listen. His exile to the Pentagon, where he calculated nuclear fallout for the Joint Chiefs while the theory that should have made him famous gathered dust. His descent into alcoholism. His death at fifty one. His daughter's suicide note, in which she wrote that she hoped to reach the correct parallel universe to meet up with Daddy. We examine decoherence, the mechanism the physics community desperately wanted to be the answer, and show why its own discoverer, Dieter Zeh, said explicitly that it does not solve the measurement problem without additional assumptions. We walk through every competing interpretation of quantum mechanics and show what each one adds, assumes, or sacrifices. And we confront the conclusion that the mathematics has been pointing to all along. The Schrodinger equation never stops. Collapse never happens. What you call a measurement is entanglement spreading. And every outcome is real. Every claim in this video is grounded in published, peer-reviewed physics. Specific papers, specific experiments, specific dates, specific names. The Proietti experiment at Heriot-Watt University. The Vienna interference experiments with molecules of two thousand atoms. Haroche's Nobel Prize-winning confirmation of decoherence timescales. Carroll's estimate of two to the power of ten to the one hundred twelfth branches since the Big Bang. The math is clear. The experiments have spoken.
