Volkswagen Waterloo was proud to sponsor and participate in the 2019 KidsAbility Plasma Car Races this year. This fun and energetic event brings companies and people together to raise funds for KidsAbility. A local organization committed to empowering children and youth with a wide range of complex special needs to realize their full potential. The funds raised go to the Foundation’s annual goal of $2M for KidsAbility’s core therapy services. Specifically, the funds support children in need of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech, and language services. With funds raised by the Foundation, KidsAbility is able to support 1,000 additional children annually who otherwise would not receive these services. And the total raised at this year's Plasma Car Race was, drum roll please, $62 364! Really incredible! Volkswagen Waterloo was founded in 1973 as Auto-Haus Waterloo. We are proud to have been part of Volkswagen's history in Canada. In the mid 90's, the name was changed to Volkswagen Waterloo.
