In this episode of Outside The Box, we meet Luke Cook and get a brief look into his ongoing battle with cancer -- Luke is currently a senior at Fremont High School in Plain City, Utah and was diagnosed with cancer at just 17 years old, only three months ago and right before the start of the golf season he had been looking forward to his entire high school career. His love for the game began during the COVID era, when he genuinely fell in love with golf and quickly became very good at it. Luke made the team as a freshman, sophomore, and junior, and heading into his senior season, there was nothing he was more excited about than competing one final year with his teammates. Luke was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, yet throughout the entire season he never missed a single practice and never missed a single tournament. Even while undergoing chemotherapy treatments, Luke qualified to play varsity in every event. He is still fighting the fight today, but his treatments are working in his favor. Luke’s resilience, grit, and positive spirit have made him an unbelievable example to those around him and he’s already using his journey to help and inspire other young men facing cancer themselves.
