A full multiplayer round of the Magma Mines board in the new Mario Party 9 for the Nintendo Wii by Nd Cube Co. Mario (SunBurntKen), Toad (MacDaddyNook), Wario (Duck) and Koopa Troopa (Chaotix2011) climb their way through the volcanic track of the Magma Mine in hopes of becoming the Super Star. Unlike the boards of the previous eight Mario Party titles, the board of Mario Party 9 is a linear trip from start to finish with the game ending once the players reach the finish line. All players are confined into a single vehicle that moves depending upon the number from the dice rolled. Minigames are designated to specific spaces rather than after the last player's dice roll, making their appearance fairly sporadic and overall less frequent than in previous titles. Rather than collecting Coins to purchase Stars, the goal is to collect the most Mini Stars by the end of the map. Mini Stars are awarded for winning in Minigames, landing on special spaces on the board or passing clusters scattered about on the board. In Magma Mines, the players ride along in a mine cart as it climbs out of the center of a volcano. The primary gimmick of the board is the rising magma that will cost an unfortunate player half of his or her Mini Stars should he or she be unlucky enough to be below the rising level when it rises. The minigames played in this video are Mob Sleds, Skyjinks, Hazard Hold, Captain Event, Ballistic Beach, Sock It To Lakitu, Pix Fix, Buddy Bounce, Logger Heads, Bomb Barge, Pinball Fall, Polar Extreme, Billistics and Blooper Barrage.
