Block -2 Philosophical analyses of Darashanamala UNIT 1 Methodology of the Discrimination of Real from Unreal Superimposition and Desuperimposition യാഥാർത്ഥ്യ–അയാഥാർത്ഥ്യ വിവേചനത്തിന്റെ രീതിശാസ്ത്രം: അധ്യാസവും അപവാദവും --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Muni Narayana Prasad describes Darsanamala as Narayana Guru’s most important Sanskrit work, written around 1916. Though the Guru had already explained his philosophy in Malayalam, he lacked a Sanskrit text for future scholars. At the request of his disciple Swami Vidyananda, Narayana Guru dictated one hundred carefully arranged verses. Vidyananda later wrote a short Malayalam commentary called Deedhiti. ദീധിതി). The aim of Advaita Vedanta is to reveal a non-dual reality beyond words and thought. Since direct description is impossible, Narayana Guru presents the Absolute through ten different viewpoints (darsanas). Each viewpoint gives a partial understanding, and together they guide the seeker towards self-realisation. These ten chapters are arranged like beads in a garland, giving the work its name, A Garland of Visions.
