Wellington - Tawa to Paraparaumu

This was an amazing ride that had a bit of everything, along with some spectacular views of the Kapiti Coast. Starting at Linden Station, the path follows alongside the railway tracks to Porirua, and from there heads over the bridge and along Papakowhai Road until it reaches an overpass walking bridge to Paremata Station. The track leads over the causeway then winds its way past a few sports fields and Mana Station before hugging the coastline to Plimmerton. From Plimmerton, another paved walk/cycle track begins from Ulric Street, leading up and over the hills, then down to Pukerua Bay. This was the highlight of the trip, with the path being right on the coastline for 6kms until eventually arriving at Paekakariki. Unfortunately my GoPro stopped recording during the road along Paekakariki Beach. Though picked itself up again once I'd reached Queen Elizabeth's park. From there it was a bush track, followed by a series of tracks over rolling hills to the outskirts of Paraparaumu. I took the track that leads to the old highway, and along there until I arrived at Wendy's for lunch. This is definiately one I recommend doing, and look forward to riding along it again sometime.
