Back to D'Urville Island - Epic 2-Night Off-Road Mission!

Join me and a great bunch of adventure riding mates as we return to the stunning and remote D’Urville Island for an unforgettable 2-night ride in March 2025! This was my second time riding the island, and thanks to my local mate Kev, we had access to even more of the island – including private farmland, scenic tracks, and hidden gems few get to see. We based ourselves at the island’s community hall and explored both the northern and southern ends of the island, including: ✅ Riding the epic (and slippery!) grade 4 track to Wilderness Resort for dinner ✅ A surprise grade 5 downhill challenge after taking a wrong turn 😅 ✅ Discovering incredible views and riding across remote farmland ✅ Fixing Val’s broken footpeg with the help of a local welder ✅ Josh getting a flat tyre! ✅ Visiting hidden beaches, a massive Yamaha motorbike collection, and hearing about the island’s history – including All Blacks training there 100+ years ago ✅ Moa bones, private tracks, and amazing hospitality from the locals We wrapped up with a final push to the northern tip, Patuki Station, and across to Greville Harbour before heading back to the ferry. It was an epic weekend of mud, mishaps, and memories.
