Nikon Shutter Release Error Hack, For Nikon ZFC, Z50, Z5, Z6, Z7

I fell on my Z50 and managed to damage the shutter. It was going to cost more to repair the camera than to buy a new one. So I upgraded to a Nikon Z5 and threw the Z50 in a draw in disgust. A few weeks later I needed to use a camera body for a YouTube video just to use as an example. It I didn’t matter if the camera worked or not. Out of interest, I put a fully charged battery in the Z50 and to my surprise it worked. What I found was as long as I was in silent mode the camera worked fine. The only functions that didn’t seem to work were long exposure noise reduction and the self timer, which I think need the mechanical shutter to operate. So I have a camera that now works for video, photography, and Timelapse with some very minor limitations. So my little Nikon Z50 has become my second camera which is better than going in the trash.
