Jonathan Dickey provides an overview of the settlement of New Netherland, and the politics and economics of the English-Dutch rivalry for control of the mid-Atlantic seaboard. He also describes the resources available to genealogists who wish to explore their Dutch heritage, much of which is not readily available on the various online platforms typically used by researchers. The TMCC Library offers an Open Genealogy Lab each Friday, it's free, online and open to the public.
