I wanted to do something that matched this year's space theme for the album jam, so I decided to cover Maru's theme! Stars are kind of space-themed, right? Somehow this is the first time I've ever featured bassoon on the channel. Andrew and I went to the same college, plus my mom knows Andrew's parents from when they went to college, so it's really cool that we all got to collab together for this arrangement! Special thanks to Ian for playing on this as well; since we were the two staff members hosting this year's album jam, it's always fun to get to collab together and play on each other's tracks! :) I originally only planned on having flute, bassoon, glockenspiel, vibes, and bass for a small chamber ensemble, but then decided to add the ambient percussion at the last minute. Literally last minute, we only had a few hours left out of the 72 hours when I started recording those parts hehe. Now I can't imagine this cover without it!
