Track 7 of the 2019 album 'Humours of Derrynacoosan' by fiddle and tin whistle player Mossie Martin. Featuring John Blake on guitar. The first tune was composed by the musician, singer and composer Josie McDermott (1925 - 1992) from Coolmeen, Co. Sligo which is a townland close to the village of Ballyfarnon, Co. Roscommon. Josie’s tunes are now played wherever traditional Irish music is played, a great example of North Connaught music going global! Mossie learned 'Mulvihill’s' reel from Roscommon fiddle player and music teacher Paddy Ryan and 'The Green Gates' from a recording by the band Stockton’s Wing.
