Following the official part of the 4th UMD Global Conference, UMD organized a cultural tour consisting of members of the Macedonian Diaspora from Australia, Canada, Europe, and the United States to the city of Edessa (Voden in the Macedonian language), in Aegean Macedonia, today's Northern Greece on July 31, 2013. The guests were greeted in Edessa (Voden) by Archimandrite Nikodim Tsarknias (religious leader of the Macedonian Orthodox faith-goers in Greece), and by Eugenia Natsoulidou and Petre Kazias of the Educative and Cultural Movement of Edessa (Voden).
