Toyota’s NEW CHEAP TRUCK just KILLED Ford, Chevy, GMC, Nissan and Jeep! Who would have thought, this turbocharged 4banger truck that's riddled with plastic in and out continues to dominant the midsize pickup segment. Toyota has lessened quality on their cheap truck, yet hiked price tags tremendously. Outsourced entirely to Mexico, this truck doesn't look good on paper. BUT, apparently it's still superior to the competition? Better than the GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado, Nissan Frontier, Ford Maverick, Ford Ranger, Honda Pilot, etc? In this video, I talk through the following points: Tacoma sales 227,174, typical is 215-250K sales per year. Toyota sold 73,591 Tacoma units in the U.S. during the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, marking a significant 28.3% increase from Q3 2024. 192,815 Tacomas sold in 2024. Chevy Colorado sales: Chevrolet sold approximately 77,390 Colorado units in the U.S., with sales seeing a nearly 9% increase year-over-year despite a dip in Q3 Chevrolet sold 24,575 Colorado trucks in the U.S. during the third quarter (Q3) of 2025 (July 1 - September 30), which was a decrease of about 15% from Q3 2024. GMC sold 27,878 Canyonmodels in the U.S. year-to-date (YTD), with sales in Q3 2025 seeing a slight dip compared to the previous year. Ford Maverick sales: 120,904 units sold as of the end of the third quarter (Q3). This represents an 10.9% increase over the same period in 2024, with Q3 2025 alone accounting for 34,848 sales, a 9% year-over-year increase. Ford Ranger sold 62,864 units in the US in 2025, a year-over-year increase of 53.5%. Nissan Frontier: As of the third quarter of 2025 (through September), Nissan sold approximately 47,630 Frontier trucks in the U.S.. 68,155 sold in 2024. Jeep Gladiator: 35,474 Jeep Gladiators have sold in the US in 2025. Sales are up 43% year over year. Honda Ridgeline sales: As of late 2025, Honda sold approximately 37,385 Ridgeline trucks in 2025. 41,367 sales in 2024.
