#17 The Biggest Progress Yet on the Homestead

Spring has arrived, and a lot has happened over the past weeks. Chris helped me fix the ATV - the carburetor was clogged, but we got it running again. We also made quite a few trips into town to get materials for the terrace extension, and picked up a new (used) garage port. Replacing it took more work than expected. We had to move two roof beams and ended up rebuilding most of the garage front with new beams and cladding. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Mario came by to help with the terrace, and now there are two new staircases leading out into the yard. Johan also brought over his excavator and helped reshape the land around the house. I put down about 300 square meters of fiber cloth to keep the park slide in check. Bit by bit, things are coming together. And with the inside more or less done, it’s starting to feel like home.
