The second-year B.Ed student from Fakir Mohan (Autonomous) College died at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after setting herself on fire due to alleged inaction on her harassment complaint against a professor. Odisha Congress president Bhakta Charan Das announced the bandh, supported by Left and other parties, demanding justice and accountability.
