A statewide bandh has been called in Odisha on Wednesday, July 17, by eight Opposition parties, led by the Congress, following the tragic death of a college student in Balasore. The second-year B.Ed student from Fakir Mohan (Autonomous) College died at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after setting herself on fire due to alleged inaction on her harassment complaint against a professor. Odisha Congress president Bhakta Charan Das announced the bandh, supported by Left and other parties, demanding justice and accountability. He slammed the government’s failure to act, citing negligence even after the student brought petrol onto the campus. Schools, colleges, shops, and markets are expected to remain shut. Stay tuned for ground reports, political reactions, and the full impact of the bandh. 🔔 Don't forget to subscribe & hit the Bell Icon for regular updates! 🔥 Also Watch: 👉 What If I Told You – Mind-blowing facts & insights! 🧠💡 • What If I Told You... 👉 Visual Vibes – Stunning visuals & cinematic storytelling! 🎥✨ • Visual Vibes 👉 Foodz On Fire – Delicious recipes & food adventures! 🍔🔥 • Foodz On Fire | Orissapost Live 🌐 Stay Updated with OrissaPOST: 🔗 Website: www.orissapost.com 📌 Facebook: OrissaPOSTLive 🐦 Twitter: @OrissaPOSTLive 📸 Instagram: @instaorissapost 🎬 YouTube: OrissaPOST Live 💬 Like, Comment & Share if you enjoyed the video! 📢 Subscribe for the latest news, trending stories & exclusive content! 🚀📰 #OdishaBandh #JusticeForStudent #BalasoreIncident #FakirMohanCollege #StudentProtest #CongressOdisha #WomenSafety #OppositionProtest #July17Shutdown #OdishaNews #orissapost #orissapostlive
