Department store escalators - just as they should be! We take a ride on all of the 7x O&K escalators in the Marks and Spencer Department store in Nottingham City Centre - Albert street. This is a good sized store spread over 4 floors. We ride some of these escalators twice and I have included a look at some of the LCD screens and serial plates. Interestingly, some of these are 1000mm (5 comb plates) wide and others are 800mm (4 comb plates)wide. These ones - as stated on the serial plates shown are the slightly compact type RTV-TE and built in the Keighley Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧 factory in 1998. They run perfectly and sound great! Enjoy! If you do, please like and subscribe. Plenty more like this is on the way... Comment any useful info or possible suggestions for future videos. Usually M&S used Thyssen / ThyssenKrupp escalators but on a number of occasions they either used O&K or Kone escalators instead. Nottingham also had another smaller M&S store on the same street which had an older Thyssen escalator.
