Today's instrument, which is also my favorite French harpsichord at the Schola Cantorum, is the 6th and last instrument of Mathias Griewisch for this advent calendar. It is a copy of an anonymous instrument dating from around 1680 and currently in Stuttgart. This surprising arrangement, with two 8' stops on the lower keyboard and a single 4' stop on the upper keyboard, is confirmed by the original layout. With such an instrument, few notes already open a whole world. -- L'instrument d'aujourd'hui, qui est aussi mon clavecin français favori à la Schola Cantorum, est le 6ème et dernier instrument de Mathias Griewisch pour ce calendrier de l'avent. Il s'agit d'une copie d'un instrument anonyme datant de 1680 environ et qui se trouve actuellement à Stuttgart. Cette répartition étonnante avec deux 8' sur le clavier inférieur et un 4' isolé sur le clavier supérieur est attestée par le plan de l'original. Sur un tel instrument, quelques notes ouvrent déjà tout un monde.
