Leeuwarden is the capital of the Dutch province of Friesland. The city is the largest of the Frisian eleven cities and has 93,485 inhabitants (in 2020). The oldest remains of houses date back to the 2nd century AD in the Roman era, and the Keimpemastins, which was built in the early 14th century , is the oldest house in Leeuwarden today.
