In the new Patch Play episode, I explore the AAS Player, a 100% free Synthesizer plugin for macOS and Windows. It's an instrument designed to playback the official AAS sound packs. The free version includes the Swatches sound pack, which includes over 750 physical modeling sounds. AAS Player is powered by AAS's flagship physical modeling Synthesizer engines. A downside of the plugin is that it doesn't offer any macros to manipulate sounds. However, you can play them expressively with velocity and aftertouch, thanks to the physical modeling nature. For me is AAS Player an underrated free plugin as it gives you instant lovely, physical modeling sounds for free.
