The Complete Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Irish Music Festival 2024 in Wexford, Ireland. The 2024 Fleadh Cheoil was the biggest one yet attracting crowds of over 600,000 people to Wexford between 4 & 11th August to celebrate traditional Irish music and dance. I spent a week documenting the musicians and dancers who gathered on the narrow streets of Wexford Town and performed for the visitors. The following video was filmed over the course of the week and is the biggest project I have undertaken so far. Musician's of all ages are invited to perform on the streets and in the pubs of Wexford for a week in August that will see 500,000 visitors the town. The Fleadh Cheoil (meaning "festival of music") is an Irish music festival run by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ), a non-profit organisation. The festival includes live music events as well as competition. Each year a single town or city hosts the Fleadh: it has been held in Mullingar, Sligo, and Tullamore, among others.
