Thanks for watching! How to Tye Dye Shoes with Sharpies: Supplies: -pair of white canvas shoes -assorted Sharpies -isopropyl alcohol 91% -medicine dropper or syringe -paper towels 1. Cut any tags from shoes and make sure they are free of dirt and debris. 2. Draw design on shoes with Sharpies. Small dots seem to work best for this. Make sure to cover a good amount of the shoe, unless you want some white to show through. 3. After completing your design, place paper towels under your shoes. Make sure to do this on a solid surface, like tile or the bathtub. Any leaked color that bleeds onto the surface can be cleaned with the alcohol. 4. Slowly drop alcohol onto the colored dots. Picking up the shoe and angling it different ways allows the color to spread in different directions. 5. Let shoes sit for ten minutes. If the color hasn't spread enough, add more alcohol and repeat. 6. Leave to dry overnight or for a day or two. The drying time depends on how dry your house is. You can leave them in front of an air vent to speed this process up. 7. Wear your new shoes. Look fabulous. Instagram that sh*t. *Note: Anyone allergic to rubbing alcohol should use gloves when applying it. The shoes can also be washed off with cold water after step 5 to remove any traces of alcohol. For an extra precaution, wear socks when wearing these shoes.
