African Lion Watercolor Gouache Painting Demo

If you love painting wildlife, especially big cats, this demo is for you. Heck, it's for you if you love to paint... or watch someone else paint! I do the drawing, the watercolor, and the finishing gouache detail layer so that you can see my entire process and try it on your own. My hope is that by showing you how I do it, you will be encouraged to try this for yourself. Here's a list of the supplies used to create this painting: Fluid 100 140 lb/300gsm cold press watercolor paper (any watercolor paper you prefer will work just fine. I like the texture of the Fluid 100 because it takes many layers of washes without pilling, and since it's not too textured, it allows me to work over the top with other dry media such as color pencils or pastels if I choose to).
